I used to have a memory foam mattress and it was comfortable, some times, but did not help keep me cool. I have been eyeing a Stearns and Foster for a while not only for the supposed comfort but also for the touted quality. I am happy to say that I was not disappointed after it arrived. It is also nice knowing the mattress was constructed start to finish from one person… it adds a more personal touch to the experience. So after sleeping on this mattress for almost a month, I am pleased to say I have noticed a huge improvement in my sleep quality and that I am cool throughout the night. I highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a better nights sleep.

It's taken a couple years and a many beds to finally find the right one. I don't sink in it because it's firm, and the pillow top gives the right amount of softness. It's expensive but it's what I needed. It's the Estate collection firm pillowtop. I'm an overweight senior citizen who's had both hips replaced. I also got the adjustable bed frame so I can keep my
head elevated. The frame needs improvement but it works. The worst part was the delivery service. It took 3 weeks to deliver the bed and the guys that delivered it were not in to it. It's considered white glove delivery because the bring it in and set it up. It's more like drop it and run service. My husband made them wait until he got batteries and made sure the adjustable frame worked. There was no paperwork at all. I had to go online and print it. The delivery guy actually said "there's two buttons, up and down". For the amount of money I spent, and the name Stearns and Foster I expected much better service. It's actually a part of Sealy.

Purchased this mattress to replace an older mattress that was causing pain and numbness from pressure points. Immediately felt a difference the first time sleeping on this mattress. The cushioning is next level. I was not certain about the heat transfer ability but I can honestly say it felt cooler throughout the night. Best mattress I have ever bought - going to love this one for a long time.

Si much more comfortable options out there for so much less. This mattress is not comfortable and feels so cheap. I first got the standard medium and it felt so stiff and flat. Switched to a soft and paid significantly more. Yes it's softer but still not comfortable and feels very low end. Avoid!

My 90 yr old mother bought this mattress and it tufted in the middle, you could see it with your naked eye. She is barely 5' and weighs barely nothing and she can not roll over because of the big tufting. Stearns & Foster says it is not a big enough tuft to replace it. THE MATTRESS IS DEFECTIVE. My mother can not sleep through the night because she has to stay on one side and it is hurting her back. I will never buy another Stearns & Foster mattress and I would suggest anyone who wants quality and customer service buy something else also.

We've had sterns and foster mattresses for over 20 years. We thought it was time for a new one. Within months the middle of the mattress started to create a hump in the middle. The warranty covered so we got a new mattress, that was 4 months ago and once again the hump is getting bigger everyday!! Not sure if I'll get another sterns and foster, the quality has gone way down!!

I have sciatica and lower back issues that come and go. I had purchase the Saatva firm 3 years ago and at the beginning it was helping. It started to break down a bit and not as supportive after only a couple of years. After investigating online reading a lot of reviews, I decided to purchase the firm mattress without any type of pillow top on it. When I first received it, I was a little leery because of the tufting on the top of the mattress I have now had it for three months and can say that it is definitely helped with my back pain and my sciatica. I do not toss and turn to get comfortable any longer. It was a little bit to get used to in the beginning because it is so firm. I even purchased a thin pillow top to go on top of it and after two nights of that, I took it off and gave this a solid week just on the mattress. Thankful that I rode that week out because I now sleep better than I have slept probably in five years.

I thought having to change positions to keep from hurting was normal. Apparently I just never had a good mattress. ...and wow...so comfortable.
I sleep on my side, stomach...and usually wake up on my back. I don't have to change positions because of a pressure point or one of my arms going numb.

We purchased the Stearns and Foster Pillowtop Estate Firm and love the support that it gives our sleep. The comfort level is not too firm as the pillowtop adds just enough softness for a little give. We are 2 different types of sleepers, one is a side sleeper who tends to move frequently through the night while the other is primarily a stomach sleeper. We are both sleeping well on the new mattress; feeling motion when one or the other moves around throughout the night is also greatly reduced. One thing that influenced our decision was the side support when sitting on the side of the bed. Too many mattresses sink when sitting on the side, but this one supports with little sinking.

We have had this bed for about a month now and don't know what we did before. We purchased it with the EASE Power Base and cannot stop talking about how much we love it. Sleeping through the nice without waking up to have to switch positions because we are that comfortable all night long. My husband used to have to go out to the recliner every night. That has also stopped. It has helped with my snoring as well. Would highly recommend to anyone considering this product.

From the first night I never got a good sleep. Toss and turned all night long. Matress sagged from night one and zero support. It's been 85 days and I'm exchanging for a down grade. Just shocked for 4k what a terrible mattress. I've down graded to Estate Firm Tigh Top. We shall see.

I was looking for a nice, comfortable, but extra firm mattress. I bought the Stearns and Foster Estate Firm queen size. I've had it for 13 months now and regret my purchase. I'm not a big person. I'm the only one that has ever slept in the bed. I rotate it every 3 months, but I still have large divots that are permanent. I have hip, shoulder and back aches thanks to this mattress. It has turned out to be worst decision I've made in a long time.

Approximately two years ago, I bought this mattress. I do have another stearns and foster which I absolutely love. It's my twin mattress in the guestroom. I This mattress is the king size for me. It is the worst mattress I've ever had. I wake up every morning with pain shooting down my legs and in my back. It is already indented in. It is so heavy. I would highly recommend never buying this mattress and I still owe money on it and seriously I've been sleeping on the twin bed because that was so much better.
Here I thought I was investing in the best mattress and the old eight-year-old beat up mattress I had was more was better than this one.

I am always so exited to get into bed and stretch out and feel the luxury softness. I also have the adjustable base and it is perfect in the zero degree setting. I love that I can hit a button and have it lay flat in an instant or if I suffer from heartburn in the middle of the night I can adjust the head of the bed to be slightly elevated and my heartburn/acid reflux goes away. This bed has been an absolute blessing and it was well worth the 1-week delivery time. I absolutely LOVE it. 100% I would buy this bed again.

We have had our bed for 7 nights. The first thing that I noticed was I did not tossing and turn all night long. I have had a back lumbar fusion so most nights I roll around a lot!

My husband and I purchased this bed awhile ago and 5 months into having the bed my husband started to sink in his side of the bed and I continually roll into him because of the way the bed is sinking in. It's not comfortable at all where ever I lay in the bed my body hurts and is sore I've never had this problem before. My husband is having more back pain then before and we toss and turn all night trying to get comfortable on the bed. We bought this bed because of the reviews on back pain and how it's such a great bed. This was very expensive especially to be sinking into the bed with a hole so to say where we sleep 6 months later. Customer service is also hard to get ahold of with the issues I'm having.

I had to return a "luxury firm" mattress prior to buying this one because the other mattress was not, in fact firm the way I need it to be & it made my back sore. This Stearns & Foster mattress is really as firm as it claims to be & is built well. Plus, the top surface was smooth & lump-free, which is important on a firm mattress. (That cloud-look texturing you see in some mattress pillow tops is terribly lumpy to sleep on if you get a firm mattress.) I expect this mattress will last a long time.

I purchased this mattress, along with two others for all rooms. Less than six months in, one mattress developed a deep sag in the middle, which has significantly affected comfort and support.
When I submitted a warranty claim, I was met with delays, inconsistent answers, and ultimately a denial based on what they called an "improper foundation"-even though the tag on the mattress clearly states it's intended to be used with or without a foundation. At no point during purchase was I informed that using a high-quality, name-brand platform or box spring would void the warranty - IT HAS TO BE THEIRS.
We even offered to pay out of pocket for an in-person inspection to fairly evaluate the issue. That was ignored. Instead of support, we were offered a 50% discount to buy a new mattress-from the same company that failed to honor our warranty in the first place. That isn't a solution. It's an upsell.
As longtime customers, this was incredibly frustrating. I trusted this brand. But now, after this experience, I would not recommend it to anyone. The product looks impressive, but that doesn't matter when it breaks down quickly and the company refuses to stand behind it.
If you're considering this mattress, I urge you to read the fine print and look beyond the branding. And if you expect your warranty to mean anything, prepare for a fight.

The medium firm, tight top mattress is a dream. I no longer have years of back ache when waking up. The bed has a normal temperature and cushions nicely to our bodies. We just love the comfort and support of our new bed! The higher box frame fits nicely into the sturdy frame which has great legs on it. I can now store things under our bed, a real win for us!

For years I've always wanted a Stearns & Foster mattress and this was my first experience purchasing one. I called directly and spoke with an agent and inquired about comfort levels and asked for advice on which would be the best for me. I told the agent that I wanted firm and supportive yet comfortable and I didn't want to sink into the bed or for it to be hard for me to get in and out of the bed. Unfortunately, this specific one was exactly what I didn't need. I tried to give it a little time, but as time has progressed the mattress has begun to sink in further and I can feel the springs in the mattress poking me and I feel lower back pain sleeping in it. This is not the quality that I expect, especially at this price point. Feeling as though I do not have much of a choice right now, I'm going to try a firmer mattress in the tight top in hopes that it will be better.

So far so good! I'm 6', 210 lbs and I needed to replace my previous mattress that had developed sagging "hammock spots" that exacerbated previous back injuries. However, these spots developed over a 15 year period (mattress had a 10-year warranty!)
I'm hopeful that this mattress will last as long? It came with a 90-day return policy but I'm confident that no problems will appear before 90 days. I did not receive any sales invoice, or paperwork listing any warranty applicable to this mattress which leaves me uneasy about this purchase. As I said, so far, so good, but I hardly think I've had an adequate amount of time to come up with a valid and reliable judgement! I'd appreciate some documentation regarding a warranty and think a follow-up in 5 years would be more appropriate!

After 12 years my prior Stearns & Foster Estate needed to be retired. I knew without a doubt that I wanted another. I did research and found the mattress I wanted but decided to see if I could keep my money local. My husband and I went to two furniture stores. Both stores told us that the mattress I wanted was not available nor orderable and attempted to sell us something I didn't want. The first thing I did upon returning home was order the mattress from the Stearns & Foster website. Within two weeks the mattress was delivered. I absolutely LOVE it! I sleep so good that I don't want to get out in the morning. The mattress provides the support I need for my back plus is soft enough that I feel as if I'm cradled all night long. I injured my back in the past and I do not have any back pain or stiffness upon waking. Thank you for making this mattress!!

We needed to replace our old Sterns and Foster mattress and I was not sure what model would be similar. I emailed my information and was quickly sent an answer that it was the Estate Firm. We ordered it in February and it was delivered in the three weeks timeframe. The white glove delivery service is the best. We love our new mattress. It is extremely comfortable and it took zero time to adjust to. I recommend Sterns and Foster to anyone that is looking for a new mattress because of their superior quality.

About 1 year in the mattress started becoming uncomfortable. The mattress has dips/indents on both sides where we sleep, and a hump in the middle. We rotate the bed 4 times a year. Both my partner and I started having a tough time sleeping through the night-- waking up with pins and needles / different parts of our body falling asleep-- shoulders, arms, legs. We started waking up with aches and pains in our shoulders or hips or ribs or back. The mattress started out amazing. Now the couch is more comfortable than this mattress. For almost $4thousand dollars not including the special base and frame it requires, this mattress was a huge disappointment. Now looking to replace it and feeling foolish for wasting so much money on a "luxury mattress" that we were hoping would have been comfortable for at least the 10 year warranty minimum. Highly recommend a different mattress-- not this one.

I'll be honest, it took me a couple of nights to make the adjustment from a worn-out 13-year-old plush foam mattress to the Lux Estate Elite Pillow Top Medium, but I think that's normal. My body wasn't accustomed to sleeping on such a high quality, well-built mattress. Now that it is, the improvement to my quality of sleep has me wishing I had upgraded a few years ago.
